0054 The Empty Trap

Here is the first edition of The Empty Trap, a pretty good story. It has the usual JDM hero: hard-working, honest, too honest for his own good, who falls for the girl with the gray eyes.
Actually, I don’t remember if the heroine has gray eyes, but with MacDonald, it’s a good bet. The cover is nicely done and gives me chills because I know what scene in the book it was drawn from. Too bad the illustration doesn’t fill the whole cover.

Well, I don’t think it’s going to make your list of favourite covers, but for what it’s worth:
You rascal, you found it! I will henceforth double my payout to you for every cover found. I have not seen this one before, and I can’t decide how I feel about it. It certainly is very different. I’ll try to get it posted in reasonably short order. Thanks!
