0727 The Scarlet Ruse

We have seen this cover before, and a darned good thing too, since this 19th printing has been rode hard, put away wet, and then beaten with a stick before being dropped off a bridge and run over by a Mack truck. Still, the image is good enough to see the most atrocious rendering of the Busted Flush that I am aware of (50 foot long? barge type? where is the shower stall going to fit?).
We also see the obligatory red floppy hat which played only a minor part in the plot but is omnipresent wherever a Scarlet Ruse may roam, from the mountains, to the prairie, to the oceans white with foam.
I’d like to know how Travis expects to row with a gun in his hand.
Update (04/07/2021): Thanks to Freiler for a much sharper image. I’m not sure about that sticker, though. And who knew that airports have used bookstores?

I was going to take off the sticker but I figured I might force you into having to recalibrate your whole system if there were technically 2 cover prices. And sadly this airport used book store went to the big remainder in the sky.
