Estonian? Ok, who of my followers (I’m talking to both of you) ever thought John D MacDonald was translated into Estonian? I know I didn’t.
Overall, this is a nicely done cover. My scan is so poor (see update!) I can’t be sure if it’s a photo or a painting, but either way the girl looks good, she is definitely dead, and for once a cover artist has interpreted “purple mountains” in a realistic shade including red overtones instead of the standard … well … just look at the iconic Purple cover. Ain’t no mountains that color!
The best part, though, is how the contours of her body merge into those of the mountains. I like this one.
Update (07/23/2020): It looks even better with this much, much better cover scan.

Ah, just when I thought we would never chat again, you throw out a nice easy one like this. Probably deliberate, just to encourage your loyal hordes who would otherwise grow restless, perhaps muttering among themselves about setting up an Alternative Site for Normal People who have Normal Copies of Books.
Anyway, think this is the right one. This is the 1990 reprint not 1987, which means that either the cover price has gone down in that period or you are just embarrassingly wrong.
I wish my scanner would understand me better, and stop sliding things mysteriously to the edges so the image gets just ever so slightly irritatingly truncated.

Nice try, Richard, but I believe these are two (very slightly) different covers. I was already aware of your edition; no doubt I filched it from some unsuspecting victim. I can’t begin to explain the price drop, except to say I’m certain that Fawcett never lowered a price in its life, so perhaps I am just embarrassingly wrong. First time for everything. I do see an interesting error on your cover though. I’ll leave it as an exercise for the reader until I post this cover in a few days.
One must speak to one’s scanner in a firm voice, expressing one’s expectations clearly. When the scanner exhibits inappropriate behavior, one must scold it, rub its nose in it, and swat it. Actually, my scanner also truncates white objects, like … oh … I don’t know … every piece of paper the world has known, so I keep a piece of pink paper taped to the underside of the cover to provide contrast. Which explains why all my scans of Nightmare in Pink are truncated.
Normal is for losers.
