0103 The Only Girl in the Game

September 11, 2011

  • Title: The Only Girl in the Game
  • Language: English
  • Country: UK
  • Format: Paperback
  • Year: 1979
  • Publisher: Littlehampton
  • Collection: Magnum
  • ISBN-10: 0417029500
  • ISBN-13: 9780417029504
  • Cover Artist: Unknown

Another of the British Magnum “bullet” series. This one is very typical of the series with the bullets and a girl in a photograph. I admit I was surprised that the dice she is holding don’t add up to seven; should I admire the photographer for trying something different or dismiss him or her for being ignorant of gambling?

Milk Carton

Have you seen me? I am the UK paperback version of Dead Low Tide, printed in 1977 by Littlehampton under the Magnum imprint (ISBN-10 0417017308, ISBN-13 9780417017303).

Ooo ah, mate, the Milk Carton does work! Your sedulous work has found the first missing cover ever for me, saving me untold effort better spent watching Liverpool-Bolton and inscribing your name, probably misspelled, onto the John D MacDonald Once-Was-Lost-But-Now-Am-Found Cover Award of Merit ™.

I shall move the image to the top of my queue so that all can appreciate your skills and you receive your deserved glory.

    Seriously, thank you, Richard.
